ABOUT US

Adapt ... Evolve ... Succeed!

ISI has a long, solid history in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region as an award-winning supplier and service provider; however, Hurricane Katrina provided ISI with a challenge and an opportunity to rebuild and transform.

ISI is a minority, woman-owned small business headquartered in Baton Rouge and has a regional office in Washington, DC.  Since 1991, ISI has demonstrated operations and management expertise in providing services and supplies throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region.

Despite the severe and devastating loss of her home and office in 2005 in Hurricane Katrina, Grace Smitherman, owner and president of ISI, was committed to returning ISI to the status that earned it the 2004 Excellence in Business Award from the Louisiana Minority Business Council (LAMBC).

ISI’s rebuilding and expansion efforts have been focused on expanding and developing the health services and staffing portfolio.

ISI attained 8(a) certification from the Small Business Administration (SBA) in 2007.  ISI graduated from the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program in 2016.  ISI is certified as a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and an Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB).

Our dedicated team of project managers and HR specialists will help businesses, government agencies and medical treatment facilities optimize performance and create efficiencies.

ISI is an ardent supporter of military families and employer of veterans.
